Dentures

Full Dentures: Full Dentures are prosthetic appliances constructed to replace all missing teeth, missing bone and tissue. Full dentures also restore your natural facial contour. The dentures are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. A full denture replaces all the teeth on either the upper and/or lower jaw.

Partial dentures: Partial dentures replace only some teeth on either the upper and/or the lower jaw and are held in place by retainers or clasps. There are three types of partial dentures: acrylic denture, nylon flexible denture, cast metal framework including cast in either cobalt-chromium or titanium.

Immediate Dentures: As implied immediate dentures are put in place immediately after the teeth have been extracted. They are constructed by drawing on the artistic skill and experience of the Dental Prosthetist prior to the extraction and insertion appointment.

Repairs and Relines: A reline is the periodic renewal of the tissue fitting surface of the denture. This ensures the denture is fitting accurately, is supported, and performing correctly. This maintains maximum comfort and stability and helps with ridge preservation. Repairs and tooth additions are carried out as required and they can be of a simple nature, or they may require additional welding to aid reinforcement.
